The Great War lyric theory

For many fans, this song is about a fight Taylor and ex boyfriend, Joe Alywn, had during their six year relationship. For a long time this is how I interpreted the song, too, but today I had an epiphany (excuse the Taylor Swift pun!!) and fathomed that it is actually a love song dedicated to Joe.
